Caring for Orphans

-Raising up Children to be Men and Women of God…

Part of our vision for Gospel Projects International is to demonstrate the love of Christ by taking in orphan children off the streets, placing them in a home environment, and by caring for their physical and spiritual needs. Our goal is to give HOPE to these precious children, and raise them up to be men and women of God.

“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble…” (James 1:27)

In February, 2011, Gospel Projects International started its first orphanage in South East India called Aasha Children’s Home. “Aasha” is the Telugu word for “Hope” – and that is our prayer for this orphanage; that these children would experience the Hope of Jesus Christ. Currently Aasha “Hope” Children’s Home cares for 20 children in the remote village of Gummileru.

In addition to the children at Aasha Children’s Home, we are also providing care and support for three children who have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. We want to demonstrate the love of Jesus to these kids, and show them that God loves them even in the midst of their horrible diagnosis. To protect the other children, these three orphans are staying in separate Christian homes. Please keep these children in your prayers and agree with us for their healing.

Our goal is not only to care for the physical needs of the children, but also (and even more importantly) to raise them up to be strong in the Lord. Many of these children did not grow up in Christian homes, and we had the privilege of sharing with them about Jesus for the very first time, and leading all of them to God’s salvation.
